Our organisation is a registered religious organisation under the Australian Government legislation as well as a registered charity in Australia and is under process to be registered in Hellas (Greece). We are also known as The English Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia.
Our Archdiocese is an organisation under the Spiritual Guidance and Grace, of The Excellency of Archbishop Nektarios and derived from the spiritual collective of various Bishops, Clergy, Communities (both in Australia and Abroad), who wished to promote true Orthodox Spirit as well as the genuine perspectives and doctrines of the Orthodox Faith. Our organisation apart from its religious activities, also conduct community activities such as Intellectual Disability Care Projects, Home Care Projects for the Aged, and Food for those in need.
Our organisation promotes unity and solidarity among Communities and Churches of the Orthodox Faith and does not discriminate among the various independent or regular Orthodox Churches and leadership.
We believe strongly in the Apostolic Succession which is a given right to all Orthodox Denomination Practitioners and Clergy and not the feudal few as many Patriarchates or Archdiocese proclaim.
Our organisation is proclaiming with its actions and deeds the Word of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our organisation does not deny sacraments of the Holy Church to other people as we strongly believe that all Orthodox Christians are one. We do not promote or support persecution of other Orthodox Branches whether they call themselves “canonical” or “non-canonical”.
Various people, Churches, Bishops, and Clergy in nowadays they speak of that “canonicity” very pompously and profoundly and exclude or ostracise other orthodox Christians which denotes profoundly their lack of true Orthodox Christianity as Our Lord Jesus Christ, included ALL people irrespective of their creed, their colour, their faith, their background, their social or gender orientation.
We are proud to say that we are the only Orthodox Denomination Church that we promote transparently our policies which are publicly available to any individual. We are also proud to say that we are the only Orthodox Denominational Institute that has policies!
We follow Our Lord Jesus’ footsteps and include ALL people. We encourage everyone to participate in our Liturgies and also to participate actively in our Sacraments. In that spirit, we invite other Brothers and Sisters that wish communion or cooperation, or affiliation with us, to be in touch.
